In Spanish, loteria means lottery and refers to a popular Mexican bingo game. Each year, San Antonio hosts a Loteria Run where participants dress up as characters from the game. This year, the run was held at St. Mary’s University, and we saw some incredible costumes. We saw everyone from El Boracho (the drunk) to La Sirena (the mermaid). With all of these crazy characters competing, we just couldn’t leave our team at home.
We brought our six-man Beer Salt running team, our famous truck and our “Free Goods Inside” tent, not to mention all the free samples of Beer Salt to boot. Our Ghost Runner was also lurking around and snapping pictures with fans hoping to win a free holster koozies.
Everyone loves the Loteria run for one more reason – free beer at the finish line! Like us on Facebook to find out what fun run party we’re crashing next!
