Squeeze the juice from the 4 grapefruits (about 2 cups) then slice the remaining grapefruit in half for garnish slices. Mix together sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Cook for 5 minutes then remove from heat and allow to cool.
Wet the rim of the glasses with grapefruit wedge and dress it with Orange Beer Salt.
Place grapefruit slices and ice into glasses. Pour half a bottle of beer (about 6 oz.) into glass then add 2 oz. of grapefruit juice and ½ oz. of the simple syrup mixture. Stir and enjoy
